Version 6.1 of the undelete tool is released today. Most important features include :
- support for AIX 6.1
- support for encrypted filesystems : possible to restore deleted encrypted files to a different filesystem. Recovered data can then be accesed with original crypto keystores.

Version 5.1 is released today which includes major improvements for reconstructing JFS2 filesystems. In most cases full directories and all filenames can be reconstructed.
Improvements implemented in version 5.1 :
- better recovery in case of massive deletions on JFS2. Now almost full recovery is possible, including filenames.
- performance improvement
- automatic detection of Oracle tablespaces that can be recovered, showing database names and tablespaces (is limited to specific releases of Oracle)

Starting today, the license classes schemes has changed. Following shows the new definitions of the classes of licenses :- class I for filesystems smaller then 20GB
- class II for filesystems smaller then 100GB
- class III for filesystems smaller then 500GB
- class IV for filesystems of unlimited size

Today, Compunix announces the availability for version 4.2 of the Filesystem Utilities. Most important features of this release is the support for AIX 5.2 and the support for to shrink JFS2 filesystems. Also the analyse or undelete utility is now available for JFS2.Other important improvements are performance enhancements for the analyse utility in general. Analysis of a filesystem will be performed much faster. Once an analysis is completed, necesary information is saved so that a second run of the undelete utility will be able to start immediate recovery.
